Earn more than $10,000 with writing in 30 days

0

If you asked me whether I’d ever make money through my writing, then I would be adamant to say no. I do not have any particular talent or gift, or even someone who can mentor me.

In the past three months, I’ve earned more than $11,000 through writing.

It was when I did an analysis of expenses from the previous month that I realized “Holy shit, there’s $11,000 of income just from writing!”

This is the truth: If I can make money from writing, then you absolutely can too. The reason I wrote this article is that the top concerns I continue to receive are:

  1. How do I get started?
  2. What is the best way to type words? generate money?

Without any gimmicks, BS and broken promises desire for Ferraris or selfies are taken with Richard Branson, I’m going to reveal the answer to these two questions after doing it for more than 1 year.

Ready? Let’s go.

From 2014-2017

A single penny was earned through blogging in those times.

Let’s face it, the start is a slow burn. But the best part is that I wasn’t just a shit writer at all. I was a truly shit author which meant a lot of time was wasted. You certainly can do better than I did by avoiding a few of the traps.

The dangers:

  • Don’t begin a blog as it will waste your time, and readers won’t find it
  • Write anywhere in the beginning (Medium, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Don’t seek help with other writer until have a solid library of your work (no one will be able to help if you have three published pieces to your name)
  • Pitch major publications once you’ve found your way, not in the first week of your beginning
  • It shouldn’t take long to pitch major publications, though
  • Do not spend a dollar on logos, paying for articles to be promoted or portraits

If you avoid these mistakes by avoiding these pitfalls, you will be able to build momentum faster than I did.

Getting Started

I’m looking to make this so simple that you won’t do it wrong.

Select two topics

The two subjects I selected were personal development and entrepreneurship. Write about these two topics only.

Make sure that they are subjects you know something about or at a minimum are interested enough to study without becoming bored.

Write a weekly schedule

I picked Saturday for the beginning because it was the one day that I didn’t have to work. Choose a day on which you’re sure you’ll have time for and then add it to your calendar to be a recurring occasion.

Additional tip for added responsibility, tell a mate what you have committed to and promise to pay them $100 if you miss a Saturday of writing. (This idea originated from the time I had a personal trainer, and frequently couldn’t be assed going to the gym. But my fear of being upset, and the cost of losing $35 due to cancellation was enough to motivate me to get my skinny little body to go to the gym and lift the weights.)

Don’t think about money.

You won’t earn a substantial sum of money from writing until you’ve put some effort into your craft.

Technically speaking, you could earn just a few dollars on sites like Fiver but the task isn’t that exciting that it will likely result in you abandoning. Sure, you could earn the equivalent of $20 the writing of an article. But that is far from the thousands you could earn by becoming a professional.

The best way to approach it is to take a year off and write it off at least at the beginning of the year. Start by doing it for free, because it will let you know how much you like doing it. If you don’t enjoy the satisfaction you gain from writing, you’ll probably give up.

Make sure not to go overboard.

At the moment, I write every day, but I don’t. Starting out can also make you very exuberant to the point that you go overboard. If you do this too often, you end up feeling as though you’ve exhausted all ideas.

Here is what I learned over the course of five years to comprehend:

  • The best writing ideas stem from actually living life and getting out
  • Writing time is where the inspiration to write comes from.
  • Going to work each day will give you perspectives to write about

If you only keep yourself inside your home office and write every day, the wonderful shit that people would like to read from your experience and views of the world will remain secretly hidden from view.

Utilize a different platform

I have said that you should not start your own website for a good reason.

Having your own website will force you to piss fart over choosing templates for your site and interacting with web developers in exchange for hosting fees while tinkering endlessly with column widths and a whole assortment of other BS that won’t earn you an extra $11,000 per month later on.

Start by using someone else’s platform.

I began by looking at my friend in Western Australia’s wordpress blog. He handled all the SEO nonsense, marketing, and traffic monitoring so I could write.

Another way to start is by using a social media platform. Medium is the obvious choice but many people overlook certain options that aren’t obvious:

  • LinkedIn articles
  • Long-form copy on Instagram in conjunction with an image
  • Posts of short duration on Twitter
  • This one is quite absurd: you could write your own long-form piece of writing as a comment on someone’s post who has a large readership (someone similar to Gary Vaynerchuk)

That last point is very unorthodox, but I’ve genuinely seen people do it. Make your writing more creative because there are many ways you can practice how to write.

The goal is to find the perfect place where you are able to write with no distractions and share something inspiring, useful or enjoyable consistently.

Through that process, it is possible to determine what works and what doesn’t. in the event of luck, you’ll get a small audience.

Spend a Stupid Amount of Time Writing in the Beginning

So much of my time prior to the beginning was spent on podcasts and promoting my work to an audience that I had not earned.

Wherever you are starting from, you need to find the right niche with your voice, your voice, and your unique way of putting sentences together.

There is no substitute for doing the writing. If I could go back to the past in the same way Marty McFly did in Back To The Future and make one change I would get rid of the distractions and just do the writing.

The reason we aren’t doing the writing is that it’s the most difficult task. Writing, however, it is what brought me $11,000 over 30 days — not anything else.

Format Your Work Like a Pro

My first writings were vast walls of text–even if you could see a bee’s dick from 100m away, you would not be able to tell where a sentence began and ended.

Create plenty of empty spaces in between the sentences. Use high-quality images and take the time to find the perfect image to go to your text — remember, an image you pick is as powerful a statement as the words themselves.

If I were going back to the start I would have made use of bigger, brighter and scroll-stopping images. I also would have taken off my safety wear and used bolder images within the text and tools to split things up.

The key with these tools though is balance. There is a risk of overdoing it by using these tools and that is twice as bad as using them in the first place. Submit Guest Posts

When it comes to formatting, if are feeling lazy, watch the work of professionals.

Making MONEY

After you’ve earned the ability to earn money writing, the ways to achieve this are easy to follow. However, they’re usually kept in the shadows by those who want to make money from you to show you how they make money from their writing.

Here’s how you can earn money writing:

A column that is paid for

If you write for an extended period of time, your work will get noticed. The major publications pay talented writers to write exclusive pieces on their site.

Some writers are paid per month and some pay by article. As of now, I’ve only been paid per piece, but I know a few writers that are paid a monthly fee (retainer) in order to create.

Money from Medium

Medium has a partner program that will accept any payment, regardless of knowledge, based upon the involvement of their post.

It could be just only a few dollars at early stages but what is most important is the fact that even just an average of $10 per month on Medium will make you a paid writer. The mental shift that does to your mind is truly significant.

Ghostwriting

It’s a bit of a mystery, as this is hidden and not something that you can search for. It’s the black art that is the writer”world” that the big authors don’t want you to know about.

All those CEOs, entrepreneurs as well as leaders and influencers usually have someone who is the ghostwriting. If you are okay to write and you’re not credited for it in return for a ridiculous amount of money, this is the best way for an experienced, reputable writer could earn some quick, constant cash.

These opportunities will reach them directly. You can also seek them out by sending out direct messages on platforms such as LinkedIn as well as Instagram to those who share a lot. Do not send them sales pitches and just focus on sending them a link to your work with a direct “I can do this for you.”

Consulting

Writing is among the biggest headaches for companies. All businesses must do it, and most of them lack the time or the ability to write.

Without too much effort writing where the eyes are, then businesses will approach you for assistance. You can consult with them by helping them locate writers, creating your content, and encouraging the writers to keep writing.

When I get these invitations directly, I do remain polite. In a statement like “I have a few key articles (provide links) regarding how I do it and I also do part-time consultation for those who require more. What option makes sense to you?”

It’s gentle, polite and non-egotistical, and most of all, helpful. You can copy and paste this message below if you’re lost and don’t know how to convert inquiries into consultation. Post Jobs in France

One-to-one coaching

Writing helps give you a voice, and it could assist you in becoming an instructor. Some people are happy learning from the words you write free and that’s acceptable.

Other people want to dig deeper and don’t just ask for your advice. They would like to be held accountable, which is another way of saying they would like you to coach them.

Anyone can be a coach and writing is one way to become one and be paid. My first clients were charged nothing to allow me to gain knowledge and work out the best way to structure it.

My coaching structure ended up looking like this:

  • An initial consultation for free to determine if I was the right fit with the client and that they were a good fit with me.
  • 10 weeks of coaching is that is paid for upfront via PayPal
  • A specific subject to be covered every week
  • A couple of homework assignments for the client each week
  • A final assessment at the 10 weeks’ end.
  • An offer of a soft extension after ten weeks, if it made sense (sometimes it was not)

Speak at events at a cost

When you have an identity, people are enticed to take the extra mile and assist their teams -sports teams, leaders, business teams, not-for-profit teams — by sharing your knowledge and expertise.

The price for this varies greatly and it all is based on how skilled you are at negotiating. I’m going to be totally open and admit that I have been offered any amount between $5000-$10,000, for up to sixty minutes of talk.

A friend of mine gets between $20,000 and $40,000. for one hour, plus business class flights and five-star accommodation. Another guy I know who is starting out and earns 500 dollars for each talk.

The cost range is limitless however it’s a different method to earn money from writing.

An online course

I launched one last month that didn’t go well. I even wrote about the experience since it was completely my fault. In spite of that, you can still earn profits by helping people who are new to your area of expertise.

I developed a course few years back that did fairly well. Often, it boils down to the quality of the subject you are teaching.

Similar to the majority of suggestions in this article be careful not to overdo it?

YouTube ads

Many writers turn to vloggers as a way of expressing themselves. If you’re keen to be truly creative, you could incorporate your own videos into your writing as another way of connecting with your readers.

YouTube is a lengthy game and having a deeply and narrow market tends to work best. If you can produce many videos that are five to ten minutes in length every week, after a year or so, it is possible to make money from it through advertisements.

My pledge at the beginning of this piece was not to push the concept too much and I’m going to add one more thing: YouTube is one of the most difficult games to enjoy considering the amount of time it has been in existence for. It isn’t easy to get views and you need be committed to the task or else stick to the writing.

Well-Paid Writers Have Lots of the Following

A final piece of advice is not to forget the soft abilities.

  • Honesty
  • Humility
  • Kindness

The HTML0 abilities which can help you go from making $1000 per month, which is decent and enough to earn $11,000. No one wants to read the work of a writer who’s completely in love with their work and thinks their shit doesn’t have any flaws.

You are the best version of yourself. beauty.

That’s How to Make $11,000 in 30 Days

Now all that is left is to think about whether you’d like to do exactly the same thing, because you totally can.

If a thin guy from Australia without spelling or grammar abilities can make $11,000 in 30 days, then you too can.

Be helpful and have fun greater than the cash.
